The CMFT Trainees’ Board is a group within the trust; it aims to represent clinicians who are training in every part of the organisation, engaging with clinical governance, management and education committees. The Board is effectively a part of the Postgraduate Medical Education Department. It is composed of clinicians in training; members represent different areas of the trust by location and directorate. Secondarily, the board is planning to be involved in delivering ‘in-house’ education and training to clinicians.
CMFT aims to engage trainees in the running of the Trust and its divisions by inviting trainees to attend meetings. Your department should help you to find cover for your clinical duties in order for you to attend these meetings during your working hours. There are many committees that meet regularly and are looking for trainee member.
If you would like to join a Trust committee, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, grade, division, how long you expect to be at CMFT and any particular interests. This will be forwarded to your division rep who will look to pair you up with a committee.
The Trainee Board is a new committee who aim to improve Trust-trainee relations across divisions. We aim to have at least one representative per division. Reps are expected to attend a short monthly meeting and to work to improve trainee engagement within their division. If you are interested in becoming a rep, please e-mail email@example.com.
